Historic

The Secretary of the Interior’s Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties define preservation as the “process of applying measures necessary to sustain the existing form, integrity, and materials of a historic property.” To qualify as “historic” the building must be 50 or more years old. Our Historic Preservation Studio includes a diverse portfolio of projects that have elements of restoration, rehabilitation, renovation, conservation, and adaptive reuse.

Therefore, when we build, let us think that we build for ever…For indeed, the greatest glory of a building is not in its stone, nor its gold. Its glory is in its Age, and that deep sense of voicefulness…”
